Welcome back food lovers and let me share with you about a hip coffee shop called the Parsonage in Victoria BC.
Address: 1105 Caledonia Ave, Victoria, BC, Canada Hours: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm daily (unless otherwise noted) Prices: Average price is around $12 CAD for a breakfast bagel and coffee.
Joining me from my DineInSquad is my friend Lachlan to accompany me for Breakfast at this cafe. The Parsonage is a café that caters to anyone who in a rush, or has time to sit down and enjoy a nice cup of coffee with friends and family. The menu at the Parsonage in addition to hot beverages has a variety of breakfast items such as savory bagels and even Bernard Callebaut Brownies. Lachlan and I met at the Parsonage around 8 AM which is right after Lachlan finishing his class on public speaking that morning. Walking inside we see a variety of seating styles such as tables, benches, and booths. At the same time, we see a crowd starting to follow us in, so we immediately jump into a booth before there is no seat left. After claiming our seats we went up to the counter to order.
Lachlan got his usual breakfast bagel which has on a sesame bun the following: free-range egg, cheddar, Slater's bacon and Tomato. Meanwhile, I was viewing the menu and drooling as I was debating about what to eat: Reuben Sandwich, Baked Mac & Cheese, and many others. After ten minutes of thinking I decided to get the Lox on Bagel as it not often I see Lox on a menu for breakfast. At the same time, Lachlan and I both got medium roasted coffee to go with our food.
After 15 minutes of waiting our food arrives at our table, my Lox on Bagel also got a side of chips as well which makes the value go up, and allows me to be a little creative at the same time.
In between the sesame, bagel contains the following: • Strips of smoked salmon • Red onion • Capers • Local greens • Generous amount of cream cheese.

Before I take a bite of my delicious bagel I insert a handful of chips into the bagel to allow an extra crunch with every bite, and then it’s time to eat. As I take my first bite into this wholesome delight, I feel an explosion of taste as I feel crunch (chips), mild spice (red onions), salty (capers), and delicate taste of the lox which combined all together make my eyes open in amazement at how good this is. Each bite wakes me up more and more and it feels rejuvenating in the cold morning.
Lachlan's at the same time is enjoying his breakfast bagel too as I can see him relish each bite which delivers a crunch of bacon combined with fresh tomato, delicious free-range egg and melted cheese. Lachlan shares that he loves this breakfast’s bagel has everything he wants for breakfast: eggs, bacon, tomato, cheese, and grains hence why every time he goes to the Parsonage and orders it (which is pretty much every day before work).

Overall, my experience at the Parsonage is satisfactory and I enjoy coming here in the morning to get myself Lox on Bagel. It a fantastic place to go and enjoy a cup of coffee in the Fernwood area of Victoria and to help kick start your morning.
Cheers,
