Accompanying me for this dining experience will be my bros: Richard, Randall, Chris, and Abdullah.

Nacho Daddy is a restaurant that specializes in both Mexican cuisine and of course many kinds of Nachos dishes and also has the infamous Scorpion Shot. To those not familiar with Nachos, it a dish where you have tons of heated crispy tortilla chips as a base with melted cheese sticking to anything it comes in contact with and other variety of toppings on top making it both a yummy snack and a hearty meal as well.

We went to Nacho Daddy late for dinner, after a long day of exploring the strip, when we enter it was like walking into a night club as it was dark and at the same time had some upbeat music with tons of seating like night club lounge booths along with a few tables with high chairs. Near the main entrance was a tank designed like a bottle with a terrarium that houses pet black scorpions. Also, we can see sets of stairs in the middle next to the bar with a tall bookshelf holding a variety of decorations. We got a seat inside within one of the deeper booths.

We took a look at the menu after and we see many dishes that make our mouth water from sizzling fajitas, crispy chicken wings, Enchiladas, tacos to many kinds of nachos dishes some being traditional and others American fusion. After some discussion and review, we decided to order the following dishes: Filet Mignon Nachos (Andy), Nacho Average Burger Nacho (Chris), Queso Dip, and Signature Taco-Enchilada with chicken (Randall), and Chicken Enchilada (Abdullah).

Before our nachos arrived our appetizer the Queso Dip is served to us first with a side of infinite tortilla chips (if we so choose).

The Queso dip has this oozing hot sensational look to them while being loaded jalapenos along with some chopped tomatoes and red onions with the warm steamy aroma coming upwards with an “eat me” feeling. We each take a tortilla chip and as we bite into it we can feel the creaminess of the Queso dip followed by the crunchiness of the tortilla chip accompanied by a minor kick of spiciness of red onions and jalapenos. As we are enjoying our Queso dip with chips the main show (the nachos) starts arriving at our table.

My order of Filet Mignon Nachos contains the following:

  • Grilled filet mignon chopped up for bite-size pleasure

  • Pico de Gallo

  • Refried beans

  • Guacamole

  • Cilantro

  • Melted Cheddar & Jack cheese

  • Ranchero sauce

  • Sour cream

  • Tortilla chips

Chris’s order of Nacho Average Burger Nacho contains the following:

  • Seasoned ground beef

  • Applewood smoked bacon

  • Red onions

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Tomatoes

  • Yellow Queso sauce

  • Tortilla chips

Randall’s order of Signature Taco-Enchilada with chicken contains the following:

  • Grilled Chicken breast in a soft taco

  • Chicken breast enchilada

  • Red enchilada sauce

  • Corn

  • Avocado

  • Red Onions

  • Pico De Gallo

  • Mexican Rice

  • Refried Beans

Abdullah’s order of Chicken Enchilada contains the following:

  • Grilled Chicken loaded in three thick corn tortillas

  • Red enchilada sauce

  • Melted Cheddar & Jack cheese

  • Sour cream.

  • Cherry Tomato

  • Pico de Gallo

  • Mexican Rice

  • Refried Beans

Now that the main order has arrived we can start feasting on all these nacho goodness. We also had some shared plates so we can try each other dishes at the same time as well. I tried my filet mignon nacho first. I scooped up a piece of nacho that had a bit of everything and took a bite. Next thing you know I was graced with an explosion of soft tender filet mignon, with a creamy sour taste from the ranchero and sour cream sauce, followed by a soft gooey pleasure from the cheese with a dab of guacamole. Since there melted cheese it helps provide a sticky coating to keep everything on one chip from falling off as I enjoy this dish with each bite. To be honest I never thought or considered having filet mignon with nachos until now.

Chris shared how for his nacho, in short, it like eating a burger except without the soft bun and have crunchy chips instead. He described how his nachos also has a sticky coating of cheese accompanied by some delectable Applewood smoked bacon, and the ground beef was nicely seasoned with an aroma that was delicious with some freshly chopped vegetables all in a bite-size manner. It is a unique alternative perspective for those who want to eat a burger but not have a bun.

Next Randall shared his opinion on his Signature dish which was an enchilada and taco both loaded with grilled chicken breasts. The chicken was grilled and had a firm outside with a tender inside as one takes a bite into the chicken. The grilled chicken also works with the taco as the fusion between the grilled chicken with the citrusy juices of the Pico de Gallo with the tanginess of the red onions makes it a delectable taco. The grilled chicken in the enchilada was also firm and tender as well with the sauce smother over the tortilla made it so soft that you could say it almost crumbles apart if you don’t eat it quickly. Overall it still delectable and bursting with garlicky creamy goodness.

Abdullah’s opinion on the Chicken Enchiladas was also positive as he also enjoyed his meal. The enchiladas were the same kind as the one Randall had for his meal except in this case there are three instead of one. So you could say three times the delectable garlicky creamy oozing goodness. Combined with the Pico de Gallo and Mexican rice and you have a fully balanced meal.

I didn't try the other dishes as I was getting extremely stuffed with my dish alone but I can tell the other dishes were delicious. Overall it was a great experience eating at Nacho Daddy for dinner with some friends. It is unique like being in a night club with thumping music and having great food at the same time. The only tip I have for those planning to eat here is that the portions are big so either get a to-go box or split the meals, as even though I'm used to eating big portions I had trouble finishing my meal here as well.
